Good to know

The cat section covers breeder kittens, adult cats seeking homes, and a whole infrastructure: houses, carriers, auto-feeders. The pedigree segment (British, Maine Coons, Scottish, Sphynx) runs by cattery rules: metrics, age-appropriate vaccinations, early human contact. An equally large share is non-pedigree kittens 'to a good home' — the choice that saves a life and costs only responsibility.

Rehoming or selling kittens? Photos in play and in arms work better than studio shots: people choose temperament, not just looks. State age, sex, litter training and current food. For pedigree kittens — the metric and photos of the parents. A symbolic price for a non-pedigree kitten is normal practice: it filters out people taking an animal on impulse.

Questions & answers

At what age should I take a kitten?

Not before 8–10 weeks: until then it learns core skills from its mother and gets immunity with her milk. Month-old kittens face digestion and socialization problems.

What do I ask the owner before taking a cat?

Vaccinations and parasite treatments, litter box habits, neutering, temperament with kids and other pets. An honest 'afraid of dogs' beats returning the animal a week later.

A purebred cat without papers — is that normal?

It's a 'breed-type' cat at a matching price — perfectly fine as a pet. Paying show-class money without a metric makes no sense: the papers are the proof of breed.

What does a pedigree kitten cost and what makes the price?

Pet class (a companion without breeding rights) starts around 3–8 thousand hryvnias depending on breed; breed and show class cost several times more. The price includes vaccinations, papers, proper rearing and the cattery's work. A 'British kitten for 500 hryvnias, no papers' is a non-pedigree kitten with an approximate color.

Male or female: any practical difference at home?

After neutering — minimal: breed and upbringing shape temperament, not sex. Unneutered animals mean marking, yowling and health risks; neutering solves it and extends life. Planning breeding is separate documented work, not 'kittens once a year'.

How do I move a cat to a new home with minimal stress?

A rigid carrier, familiar bedding that smells of home, a calm ride without opening it. At the new place — one 'starter' room with the litter box and food for the first days; the cat expands its territory itself. Pheromone diffusers genuinely help through the first week.
