What is EX & GO and how does it work?

EX & GO is a classifieds marketplace. People and small businesses post what they are selling, buyers find it and get in touch directly. We are not a shop and not a middleman: we do not hold your money, do not ship anything and take no cut of the deal you agree on. The site runs in nine languages, started in Ukraine and is opening up across Europe. Posting is free. The only paid things are optional — promotion for a single listing, and advertising for businesses.

Question 2

Is posting really free, or is there a catch?

Really free. You can post, edit, chat with buyers and close the deal without paying us anything, and we take no percentage of the price. What we sell is visibility: promotion that lifts one listing in the catalogue, and advertising for businesses. Both are bought per listing when you want them, never as a subscription, and nothing expires or disappears if you never buy either. If anyone asks you to pay a fee to publish or to unlock a buyer, that is a scam and not us — report it and moderators will act.

Question 3

Do I need an account to use the site?

Accepted Answer

To browse and search, no — look around freely. You need an account to post a listing, message a seller and keep favourites, because those things have to belong to someone. Registration is an email and a password on the sign-up page, and where social sign-in is switched on you can use that instead. One account covers both buying and selling; there is no separate seller registration and no fee for having one.

How do I post a listing?

Accepted Answer

Open the posting page and work top to bottom: pick the category, write a clear title, add the description and price, fill in the category fields that appear (size, condition, mileage — whatever applies) and choose your city. Add up to eight photos of the actual item; listings with real photos get answered far more often than ones with a picture from the internet. Press publish and you are done. Everything stays editable from your account afterwards, so there is no need to agonise over the wording.

My listing says it is pending review. How long does that take?

Accepted Answer

A new seller's first listings are read by a moderator before they appear in the catalogue. That is the step that keeps obvious scams out, and it is why buyers here are less jumpy than on a completely open board. Moderators work the queue in the order it arrives, you will see the status change in your account, and you do not need to do anything while you wait. If something clashes with the posting rules you get a reason rather than silence, and you can fix the listing and resubmit or appeal the decision.

Question 6

How do I edit, archive or delete a listing?

Accepted Answer

Everything is in your account, under your listings. Edit changes the title, text, price or photos on the live listing. Archive takes it out of the catalogue without deleting it, which is what you want when an item is reserved and might come back. Delete removes it for good. If you have sold the item, archiving or deleting it is the courteous move: buyers stop writing to you about something that is gone, and your remaining listings look current.

What is not allowed to be sold here?

Accepted Answer

The posting rules carry the full list. In short: weapons, ammunition, explosives and military gear outside retail circulation; drugs, psychotropics and prescription medicines; tobacco, e-cigarettes and alcohol; stolen goods and equipment with erased serial numbers; counterfeits; documents, licence plates, bank cards, SIM cards and personal-data sets; protected and poached wildlife; financial pyramids and quick-money schemes; adult content without age limits; human organs, dangerous chemicals and radioactive material. If you are unsure about a specific item, ask and I will tell you what the rules say about it.

Question 8

What languages and countries do you work in?

Accepted Answer

The interface exists in nine languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Czech, Slovenian and Bulgarian, switched in the site header. The marketplace started in Ukraine and is opening up across Europe, so a listing you post is readable by buyers who do not share your language. You write your listing in whichever language you are comfortable with; the interface around it adapts to whoever is looking.

Question 9

How long does a listing stay up?

Accepted Answer

Thirty days from publication. After that it lapses to expired: it leaves the catalogue but keeps its address and title, so a link somebody saved still opens. Renewing is one button in your account and gives another thirty days, with the views and the chat history intact. Renewing costs nothing and there is no limit on how many times you do it. If the item sold, archive or delete it instead, so buyers stop writing to you about something that is gone.

Question 10

I edited my listing and it disappeared. Why?

Accepted Answer

An edit to a live listing sends it back for review, so it leaves the catalogue until a moderator has looked at it again. That is deliberate: otherwise a listing could be approved as one thing and quietly turned into another. It returns on its own, and your views, favourites and chats are untouched. If you need several corrections, make them in one save rather than five, because each save restarts that step.

Why does my listing wait for review while other people publish instantly?

Accepted Answer

New sellers are reviewed, established ones are not. Once you have three approved listings, everything you post afterwards goes straight into the catalogue, provided the automatic screening sees nothing alarming in it. Until then a moderator reads each one. So the wait is neither personal nor permanent: three clean listings is the whole distance. It is also why the first few are worth writing carefully, because they decide how fast everything after them appears.

Can I prepare a listing now and publish it later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, save it as a draft. A draft is yours alone: it is not in the catalogue, not in search, and nobody can write to you about it, and it waits as long as you need. This is the sane way to prepare a batch of items in the evening and put them up when you are ready. A draft can also be started before your phone is confirmed, because confirmation is only needed at the moment of publishing.

Question 13

My listing is gone. What happened to it?

Accepted Answer

Four different things look identical from outside, and your account says which one it is. Expired: thirty days passed, the page still opens, press renew. Archived: you took it out yourself, publish it again whenever you want. Rejected: it conflicted with the posting rules, the reason is next to it, and you can fix it or appeal. And if the account itself is blocked, every listing leaves the catalogue at once until that is resolved.

Question 14

How many photos can I add, and what size?

Accepted Answer

Up to eight per listing, each up to five megabytes, and anything longer than two thousand pixels on its long edge is scaled down for you. Ordinary phone photos fit comfortably. Photos you uploaded but never attached to a published listing are discarded after half an hour, so finish a listing in one sitting rather than leaving the tab open overnight. Eight honest photos of the actual item beat one picture borrowed from a catalogue.

Question 15

I missed a notification. Is it recorded anywhere?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your account keeps a notifications section with every saved-search match and every moderation decision for ninety days, whether or not the push or the email reached you. That channel cannot be switched off, on purpose: a decision about your own listing should not depend on a browser permission you once declined. Push and email sit on top of it as conveniences, and you choose those separately.

Question 16

How do I stop getting emails from you?

Accepted Answer

It depends which kind. Product news carries an unsubscribe link in every message and stops immediately. Service messages about your own listings, chats and payments keep coming, because they are the reason you would open the site at all. Saved-search alerts are switched per search in your account, and push notifications in your browser settings. If something still arrives after you switched it off, tell me, because that is a bug rather than a policy.

Why should I use EX & GO if I already sell on OLX?

Accepted Answer

You do not have to choose — most sellers here run both, and that is the honest recommendation. What we add is cost and ownership. Posting costs nothing and no commission comes off your deal, so a second shopfront costs you no money. Your listings get their own indexed pages and you get a product feed you can point at Google Shopping, which means traffic you own rather than rent. And moving in is a paste-a-link job rather than a week of retyping. If we do not earn the sales, you have lost nothing but the time to try.

Question 18

Do I have to delete my listings on OLX or Allegro to sell here?

Accepted Answer

No, and please do not. Sell in parallel: we never touch your account on the other site, never post there on your behalf and never contact your buyers there. Running both is the sensible way to test us — you keep whatever the other platform brings you and simply add another channel. The only thing worth syncing by hand is availability: when an item sells, archive it in both places so nobody writes to you about something that is gone.

Question 19

How do I move my listings from OLX?

Accepted Answer

Open Integrations in your account and paste the link — either a link to your OLX seller profile, which pulls a batch of your listings, or a link to one listing at a time. We read the title, description, price and photos and prepare drafts on our side. You then set the category and city once for the batch, check the texts and publish. Nothing is changed or removed on OLX. If a particular page will not read, send me the link and it goes to a manager who will look at that specific case.

Can I move my listings from Allegro?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through the same Integrations page: paste a link to your Allegro or Allegro Lokalnie offer and we pull the title, description, price and photos into a draft. Allegro protects its pages fairly aggressively, so some offers read cleanly and some do not — that is a limitation on our side, not a fault of your listing. When one refuses to import, the fastest route is to send the link through this chat so a manager can look at it, and meanwhile publish that item manually.

Question 21

How do I move a shop from Prom.ua?

Accepted Answer

Two ways, both in Integrations. You can paste a link to your Prom.ua company page or to individual products and we import them one batch at a time. Or, if you have a price file, upload the YML export from Prom — that is the path we have tested end to end and it handles a full catalogue in one go. Photos and product attributes come across; you set the category and city and check the result before publishing. Your Prom shop keeps working exactly as before.

Can I import from Bazoš or Bazar?

Accepted Answer

Yes — bazos.cz, bazos.sk, bazar.sk and bazar.cz are all supported from the Integrations page. Paste a link to your seller page there and we collect your listings, or paste single listings if you would rather move a few items. Titles, descriptions, prices and photos come across into drafts that you review before publishing. Nothing changes on Bazoš or Bazar, and you can go on selling there while you see how this works.

What exactly gets transferred when I import a listing?

Accepted Answer

The title, the description, the price and the photos — up to eight per listing — plus whatever product attributes the source page exposes. What does not come across automatically is the category and the city: you set those once per batch, because every marketplace slices categories differently and a wrong guess would be worse than asking. Imported listings arrive as drafts and go through the same moderation as anything else, so you get a chance to fix wording or a stale price before a buyer sees it.

Is there a limit on how many listings I can import?

Accepted Answer

There is a per-account import quota, so a very large catalogue arrives across several sessions rather than all at once. In practice that means a shop of a few dozen items moves in one sitting and a big catalogue takes a few. Bulk paths handle bigger batches than link-by-link pasting: a price file from Prom, or a spreadsheet, moves far more per run. If you are moving something genuinely large and the quota is in your way, tell me the rough size and a manager will sort out the order of work with you.

You are a new site. Are there actually buyers here?

Accepted Answer

Straight answer: we are young, and I am not going to promise you a queue of buyers, because I cannot show you one. What we can promise is the part that is in our hands. Your listings get their own pages that search engines index, you get a product feed you can point at Google Shopping, and you can keep selling everywhere else at the same time — we never touch those accounts. Posting is free, so trying us costs time rather than money. Move a handful of items, watch what the traffic does, and scale it only if the numbers convince you.

What do you do that other marketplaces do not?

Accepted Answer

Four things, concretely. Posting is free and no commission comes off your deal. Moving in is a paste-a-link job from OLX, Prom.ua, Bazoš, Bazar or Allegro instead of retyping a catalogue. Every account gets a product feed for Google Shopping and pages that search engines index, so the traffic you build is yours. And you can confirm your phone through our Telegram bot instead of waiting for an SMS. None of that makes us bigger than the incumbents; it makes us cheaper to try and easier to leave, which is the deal we are comfortable offering.

My catalogue is in a spreadsheet. Can I upload it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is often the most reliable route in. Export the catalogue to CSV and upload it in your account under integrations: columns are matched by their headers in several languages, so a file exported from another marketplace usually needs no editing at all. The file can be up to five megabytes. Rows arrive as drafts for you to review before publishing, and you set the category and the city once for the whole batch.

Can you keep pulling new listings from my other shop automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you import a shop you can ask us to keep it current, and once a day we re-read the source and bring in whatever appeared since. New items arrive as drafts, so nothing is published behind your back. This is meant for a shop you actively keep updating elsewhere. If you stop selling there, switch the sync off, otherwise you are keeping a shrinking catalogue in step.

Do you take a commission from the sale?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not process the payment between you and your buyer, so there is nothing for us to take a percentage of — you agree the price and settle it directly, and the full amount is yours. That also means there is no escrow and no buyer protection scheme here; the safety of the deal rests on how you conduct it, which is why the safe-deal guide is worth five minutes before your first sale.

How much does promotion cost?

Accepted Answer

Four options, all bought per listing and all in hryvnia. Top in the catalogue is 49 for seven days. Highlight, which colours your card in the results, is 29 for seven days. Bump, a one-off return to the top of the results, is 19. The bundle of all three is 69 for seven days, against 97 if you buy them separately. These are launch prices and they are charged once, not monthly — nothing renews behind your back unless you deliberately set it to.

Question 31

What is the difference between Top, Highlight and Bump?

Accepted Answer

Top puts your listing above the ordinary ones in the catalogue and in search for seven days: it buys position. Highlight leaves the position alone and makes the card visually stand out for seven days: it buys attention on a crowded screen. Bump is instant and one-off — your listing jumps back to the top of fresh results, which is the right tool when the item has slipped down after a couple of weeks. The bundle gives you Top and Highlight for seven days plus one Bump at activation.

Question 32

How do I pay for promotion or advertising?

Accepted Answer

You order it from your account — open the listing, choose Promote, pick the product, and you are taken to a secure checkout to pay by card. There is a promo-code field on the checkout page if you have one. Payment is a one-off charge for that product on that listing; the promotion switches on as soon as the payment is confirmed and you can see the active window in your account. We never ask for card details in chat, by email or over the phone.

What advertising do you sell to businesses?

Accepted Answer

Two products, both self-serve from the Ads section of your account. Promo pages are a branded landing with the listings you choose: 199 hryvnia for seven days or 599 for thirty in the basic form, 299 and 899 for the branded one. Banners run in three slots — home page, category and search — at 499 and 1499 for the home page, 199 and 599 for a category, 149 and 449 for search, for seven and thirty days. Everything passes the same moderation as ordinary listings before it goes live.

Question 34

Do you have promo codes and where do I enter one?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a promo-code field on the payment page — enter the code before you pay and the discount is applied to that order. Codes are issued for specific campaigns and can be limited in time or in number of uses, so one that has expired will simply not apply. If you were given a code that the form refuses and you think that is wrong, send it to me and a manager will check what happened to it.

Can I cancel a promotion or get a refund?

Accepted Answer

An order that has not been paid yet can simply be cancelled in your account, and nothing is charged. Once a promotion has been paid for and started, it runs out its window, so it is not something you can switch off halfway and get the remainder back. If the promotion did not work as it should have — it did not switch on, or the listing was taken down mid-window for a reason that turned out to be a mistake — that is a case for a person, not a rule: press the button to ask for a manager and describe what happened.

Where do I see what I paid, and can I get a receipt?

Accepted Answer

In your account, under payments. Every charge is listed with its date, its amount, what it was for and its status, and each one opens a printable receipt. That is the page for your own bookkeeping, and the first place to look if you are unsure whether something went through. A payment that was started but never completed is shown as exactly that, so an abandoned checkout is never mistaken for a charge.

Will a promotion renew itself and charge me again?

Accepted Answer

Only if you choose that when you buy it. By default a promotion is a single charge that runs its window and stops. If you do switch renewal on, the same price is taken each period, you can cancel it at any time in your account, and it stops by itself when the listing stops being visible, because we will not keep billing for a promotion with nothing to promote. Renewal is not offered on an order paid with a promo code.

Question 38

Why can I not buy Top for my listing right now?

Accepted Answer

Almost always because something overlapping is already running on it. The bundle contains Top and Highlight, so while a bundle is live those two cannot be bought separately, and the reverse holds as well. Wait for the current window to end and the option comes back. The same listing can carry one promotion after another as many times as you like. If nothing is running and it still refuses, tell me and a manager will look at that listing.

Question 39

I started paying and stopped. What happens to that order?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is charged and nothing is held. The order sits unpaid in your account, and you can either finish it or cancel it there. If you do neither, it is cancelled automatically after thirty days and its payment link stops working, at which point you simply order the service again. An unpaid order never prevents you from buying the same thing a second time.

Can I get my money back for a paid service?

Accepted Answer

An order you have not paid for costs nothing to cancel. Once a promotion or an advertisement has started it is being delivered, so it is not refundable part way through, and a placement removed for breaking the posting rules forfeits the time it had left. Our payments page sets this out in full, including the cases that are refunded: a charge that never switched anything on, or a double payment. If you think you are in one of those, ask for a manager with the date and the amount.

Question 41

How do I make sure I do not get scammed?

Accepted Answer

The rules that catch almost everything: pay when you have the item in your hands, or use cash on delivery with the right to inspect at the post office. Never send a prepayment or a deposit to hold an item for a stranger. Never give out codes from SMS, full card numbers or the CVV — nobody who genuinely wants to pay you needs those. Keep the conversation in the site chat, where an anti-fraud filter reads messages and where the history survives. Look at the seller's other listings and how long the account has existed before you commit.

Question 42

The other person is asking for a prepayment. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Treat it as a stop sign. A deposit to reserve an item is the single most common opening move in a marketplace scam, and the follow-up is usually a link to a payment page that is not the one you think it is. Do not send money, do not follow a payment link that arrived in chat, and do not read out an SMS code to anyone. If you can, meet and pay on the spot, or use cash on delivery with inspection. Then report the listing or the user from their page so moderators can look at the account.

How do I report a listing or a user?

Accepted Answer

There is a report control on every listing page and on every seller profile — choose the reason and add a couple of sentences about what you saw. It goes into the moderation queue and a person reads it. You do not need an account to report a listing, and the seller does not see who reported them. If money has already changed hands, report it here and also tell your bank and the police: we can remove content and block accounts, but we cannot get funds back.

My listing was rejected. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

First, look at the reason shown next to the listing in your account — it names the rule that the moderator applied. Often the fix is small: a prohibited item swapped out, contact details taken out of the description, or a category corrected, and you can edit and resubmit. If you believe the decision is wrong, use Appeal on the listing and write why. Appeals go to a person, not back to the automation. Beyond the appeal you also have the right to take the dispute to a certified out-of-court body or to a court; our decision does not remove that.

Question 45

My account was blocked. Why, and what now?

Accepted Answer

Accounts get blocked for the reasons in the posting rules — repeated prohibited listings, fraud signals, or abuse of other users. The block is a decision by a person, and there is a reason recorded against it. If you think it is a mistake, ask for a manager here and describe the situation: staff can look at what was decided and why, and reverse it if the call was wrong. Do you check sellers, and how do I know who I am dealing with?

Accepted Answer

Several layers, none of which replaces your own judgement. A new seller's first listings are read by a moderator. Listings, chat messages and paid advertising all pass an anti-fraud filter that flags the patterns scams share. Sellers can confirm a phone number, and businesses can declare company details that staff verify. What you can check yourself: how long the account has been around, what else it is selling, whether the photos are of the actual item, and whether the person will answer specific questions about it.

Will my phone number and email be visible to everyone?

Accepted Answer

Your email is never shown on the site — buyers reach you through the built-in chat, which is also where the anti-fraud filter can see messages and where you keep a record of what was agreed. A phone number is only shown if you choose to add one to a listing, and you can sell perfectly well without one. My advice for a first sale: start in chat, and share a number only when you are arranging the actual meeting.

My mail service warns that the link in your email may be dangerous. Is that normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is not about us. Some mail services, UKR.NET among them, show that page for every external link in a message: it only warns you that you are leaving the mailbox, and says nothing about the site it leads to. We asked their support directly, and the warning cannot be switched off from the sender side. Click through to continue, and tick the option to trust this site if you would rather not see it again. Check that the address bar really shows our domain. And remember the rule that matters: we never ask for a password, a confirmation code or card details by email, and any message that does is a scam.

What do you do with my data, and how do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

You can delete the account yourself: sign in, open Account, then settings, choose to delete and confirm. Or write to the platform address from the email tied to the account with the subject Data deletion. What goes: the profile with your name, email, photo and phone, your listings and their photos, and your chat messages — deleted or anonymised within thirty days. The exception is data the law requires us to keep, such as transaction records and moderation decisions; those are held for as long as the law says and then deleted.

Can I add two-factor authentication?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in your account under security. Use an authenticator app, or have the code sent to Telegram or email, and keep the ten one-time recovery codes somewhere safe. We deliberately do not offer text messages as a second factor, because a number can be taken over by exactly the people you are protecting the account from. If you sign in only through Google, Facebook or Apple, the second factor lives with that provider instead.

How many times can I appeal a decision?

Accepted Answer

Three times per listing. That is enough for a genuine misunderstanding and short enough that the queue stays usable for everybody. An appeal goes to a person rather than back to the automation, and a successful one also erases the strike the original decision left on your account. Advertising placements can be appealed too. Beyond us you may take the dispute to a certified out-of-court body or to a court, and our decision does not remove that right.

What happens if my listings keep getting rejected?

Accepted Answer

Repeated rejections accumulate as strikes. First comes a warning, and if it continues, a time-limited suspension from posting: seven, thirty or ninety days depending on how persistent it is. Strikes age out after ninety days, and a decision you successfully appeal is erased rather than merely reversed, so it stops counting against you. The same works in the other direction, since repeatedly filing false reports can suspend your ability to report.

I wrote to a seller and got no answer. Could my message have been blocked?

Accepted Answer

It is possible. A message that trips the anti-fraud filter is held for review: you still see it in your own thread, but the recipient does not, so being held looks exactly like being ignored. The usual triggers are payment links, requests for codes, and contact details pushed into a first message. Rewrite the essentials plainly inside the chat and it normally goes through. If you believe a legitimate message was held, ask for a manager.

Question 54

Somebody may have got into my account. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Change the password immediately. That alone signs out every other session everywhere, including whoever else is in there. Then switch on two-factor authentication in the security section, look through your listings for anything you did not post, and check the contact details saved on the profile. If money or a paid service was involved, ask for a manager here with the dates, and staff will look at what was actually done on the account.

How do I search properly and narrow results down?

Accepted Answer

Start with two or three words for the thing itself rather than a sentence — model and condition beat adjectives. Then use the filters instead of retyping: price range, city, and the fields specific to the category you are in, which change between phones, cars and apartments. Sorting by newest is the right default when you are watching a market; sorting by price makes sense once you know what the thing is worth. If the results look thin, widen the price range before you widen the words.

Can I search for things near me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Search has a location filter with a radius around your city, so you can look within roughly fifty, one hundred or two hundred kilometres instead of the whole country. It is the filter to use for anything you would rather collect in person than post — furniture, tools, bikes, a fridge. If you allow location in the browser, the city is filled in for you; if you would rather not, just type the city and the radius works the same way.

Can I get notified when something I want appears?

Accepted Answer

Yes — set up the search with all its filters, then save it from the results page. Saved searches live in your account and each one can notify you separately by browser push, by email, or through Telegram once you have linked our bot. That is the right way to hunt for something scarce: instead of refreshing the catalogue, you hear about a match within minutes of it being published, which on well-priced items is the difference between getting it and reading about it.

How do I contact a seller?

Accepted Answer

Open the listing and write in the chat — you will need an account, which keeps the conversation attached to a real profile on both sides. Your messages and the seller's replies stay in Chats in your account, and you get a notification by push or email when there is an answer. A specific opening message gets a specific reply: ask about the exact condition, why it is being sold, and whether the price moves, rather than sending a bare hello.

How do favourites and view history work?

The heart on a listing saves it to Favourites in your account, which is the sane way to compare five similar things without twenty tabs. View history keeps what you have opened recently, so a listing you looked at yesterday and cannot name today is easy to find again. Both are private to you — a seller cannot see who added their listing to favourites, only their own view counter.

How do I get the seller's phone number?

Accepted Answer

If the seller added a number to the listing, it is on the listing page. Many sellers do not add one and prefer the built-in chat, which is also the safer place to begin: the conversation is kept, and an anti-fraud filter reads it. Some sellers additionally offer Telegram, Viber or WhatsApp buttons. A sensible order is to write in chat, settle the essentials there, and exchange numbers when you are arranging the meeting itself.

How do reviews and seller ratings work?

Accepted Answer

A buyer can rate a seller from one to five stars, with an optional comment, on the seller's page. One review per buyer per seller: writing again updates what you already left instead of stacking, and you can delete your own. Ratings are public and are among the first things a careful buyer checks, which is why a few honest ones are worth more than none. If a review is abusive or plainly false, report it and a moderator will look.

Search does not find what I mean. Are there any tricks?

Accepted Answer

A few, and most of them already happen for you. Suggestions come from what people really searched for, so taking one usually beats inventing a phrase.
